Both Afghanistan and Iraq owe us more than an apology for everything that has happened in the past decade; they owe us reparations. Afghanistan should repay us with opium proceeds until their debt is paid off; Iraq should repay with oil proceeds until their debt is paid off. Throughout history, war victors get the spoils. It is do-gooderism that is bankrupting this country.
"He is sensitive, kind and humble." Then why doesn't he show his real personality? Why the phoniness then?
What is despicable is that Romney would try to use this story for political gain. But that's Romney for you.

That is your problem Rich, you have liberal friends. Their diseased ridden bacteria has infected you. Liberals are less than human and need to be treated as such.

What service should the government offer that is specific to particular citizens? Hunting license . . ? Why is the government telling us who and when we should hunt? Driver's license . . ? What service exactly is the government providing here? Marriage license . . ? Again, what service exactly is the government providing?

And that is an insult to Reagan's memory.

Both Newt and the Heritage Foundation realized they were wrong. Romney has yet to have this epiphany. No government, no matter what level, no matter how constitutional, should attempt to control the healthcare market. It is as simple as that. If Romney cannot understand that, it is a problem.

Regarding taxes and fees. I thought the reason we pay taxes is to cover the cost of government; why do we need to pay fees on top of that?

The only good pro-Romney argument I've seen was by Grover Norquist. He essentially said that Romney is weak and will do as he is told by a Republican Congress. He said that with Romney in the White House, and Republicans controlling both House and Senate, then leadership will come from Congress, which is really where change needs to originate, and all we need is someone capable of signing bills. This is a very strong argument, but it begs the question: what if Republicans do not hold the House or do not take the Senate . . . will Romney do what a Democratic Congress tells him to do? I'm not sold yet.
I wish this moderate was running instead of the one we have now.
