When I first heard of this fiasco, I was wondering WHERE was the official Pro-Life response ? I am a 35 year veteran of the Pro-Life movement. Back in the 1970's , Dr John Wilke spoke to this issue directly. The question is this : Why do "some" women have a lower rate of pregnancy from rape than from "every day" sex ? The statistics show that this is a fact : Some women DO have a lower rate of pregnancy. The reasons are still not so clear. One theory is from Dr. Wilke. The theory is that the Trauma from the very event will sometimes cause "some" women to have a hormonal shutdown. Possibly as a defense mechanism against this attaching foe. Whatever the reasons, this is a MINEFIELD that Aiken should have stayed out of !!

Isn't what Akin did really what we as a nation need--some honesty? Apparently you don't think so either --which is why you shouldn't complain when we have people like Obama in office.
It's time for House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to get their arms around the Republican Members of the House and give - at least some of them - a Leroy Jethro Gibbs slap to the back of the head.

Yesterday was a day that should have featured the Obamas answering questions about the charges of crankiness, stubbornness, and general dysfunction among the White House and Chicago campaign staffs.

We'll come back to that later.

Instead it was all about Rep. Todd Akin (R-MO) who was asked during a...
