Amen! Replace the IRS with a Fare Tax.

Even the fair tax won't replace the IRS. The only thing that will replace the IRS's ability to inflict damage as a political weapon is to eliminate the income tax period and only allow a consumption tax period. Further it needs to be the same for all items not exempted and it needs to print on every sales receipt at the retail or consumption level. Also, make it a requirement that to raise that tax the federal government must submit that question to a general election requiring a 60% level of all eligible voters to increase but a simple majority to lower it.

It's my understanding that FAIR tax IS a consumption tax, and it's a tax on any new products one buys so that everyone who buys new gets taxed..works for me. The INCOME TAX is not a tax for the welfare of Free Born Americans, it was a Progressive Scheme to subjugate Americans..and like all Marxists they planned long into the future and worked to undercut our culture, education and faith to get to where they are now. We have gone full circle, we are taxed without representation especially when DEMON RATS have the government, and with Boehner as Speaker they may as well say they have it all.

My only problem with the FairTax is it is too high at 23%. Although I am on board with support, it should be 18%, accompanied with a balanced budget, with no tax increase allowed to increase the percentage, and a guarantee of no further taxation.

What about Herman's 9/9/9/ tax..he has said if 10% is good enough for GOD it should be good enough for this government/

23 Percent is NOT too high, when you figure in all the other hidden taxes that will be eliminate as well. If you are employed by an employer, even SOCIAL SECURITY would be figured into it. As it stands now YOU pay 15 percent of your salary out as deductions for SOCIAL SECURITY 7.5 percent taken from your pay check and another matching 7.5 percent that your employer pays. Same for medicare. YOU would get 100 percent of your SALARY and your total tax bill taken from that after a government off set. IT WORKS out well so that EVERYONE not just half the population pays taxes...FAIR AND BALANCED. with no room for manipulation. The tax is collected based upon your personal expenditures. Don't want to put out much? Don't buy anything.

BTW, under any INCOME TAX replacement program the Agency itself could be downsized to a minimal amount of personnel. Also if pot and other substances were made legal, think of the Agencies that would and should also be downsized. Add to that the number of jails, and jail personnel who would no longer be needed. Want to revamp the costs of government PLUS increase revenue by taxing t such things as POT, and we would have a balanced government and budget within a matter of three to five years. A side effect of this? Gee a whole lot less crime, and murder on the streets as well. The problem? These people hiding comfortably within these agencies as they are structured now might actually have to find real jobs. and PRODUCE something of real value to their local economies and the nation as a whole
