Don't lose hope, there still are schools (private) teaching Greek and Latin, rhetoric, Euclid...we were blessed to send our children to one right here in Cleveland (area), of OHIO! These students profoundly love their Creator, the Author of Life, the Savior and Redeemer of all mankind, etc. They continue on with a degree that not only opens their minds to Western Civilization Studies, but to seeking Truth. Don't lose hope!

Great insight, once again, Star! Exactly what we need--clear-headed ideas that will provide solutions for those in need of seeing what is happening and what path to take. As for my fellow commentors, my goodness! This should be a discussion/debate-not a name calling schoolyard. Quite clearly, there are differing views. That's normal. But solutions are what is needed and how to implement those solutions...without compromise. Looking out for what is best for each life, which will be looking out for the good of all. The election is over. Blaming doesn't provide answers.

SuperPACs and "Wasted Money"

My fellow Americans...let us demand that this campaigning nonsense be stopped and done in a much more intelligent way. Let us not muddy everyone's character but only discuss the party platforms and the plans (clear plans) the candidates intend to take. Have one or perhaps 2 debates...but real debates and not what we are receiving. All we are showing is how foolish we are, how taken in we are by these rascals who say they want to govern but are not governing. Forget everything else and stop this ridiculous, frivolous spending at once. Then we will look much more closely at reality vs. acting as Wemmicks with boxes and balls (or whatever it was by Max Lucado). God bless everyone and God bless America!

The election is proof that we are totally taken in by this foolish process. If we were to take ALL of the money spent campaigning and placed it where it may do some good, we would begin to show fiscal responsibility. Instead, I don't know about you but, we were contacted more than once per day about "donating to so-and-so's campaign" or else they may loose because of ....dribble, dribble, dribble. No matter how many times I tried to let the various people requesting know that they need to stop asking for money because it merely shows how fiscally irresponsible they are, the requests continued, daily!

George Soros said he would not make the same mistake he made in the 2004 campaign. He, his money and his evil agenda have won the 2008 and now 2012 elections for President. Basically, we have enough citizens with sub-level morals, and those who are "learned helpless" requiring government handouts to not need many more to sway the election into the hands of those who want to see America swallowed up by an International leadership.

Good article Mrs. Brown. For those that haven't read other articles as yet today, David3036 is basically copying his words onto each article's comments. It is the indoctrination our children have received for about 45 years through our education system. For those who have not seen through their own experience, the problem continues to grow. For those who have recognized, they are homeschooling and those young voters have well-formed consciences. They do not watch any of those shows mentioned by a concerned American. Because their minds have been awakened by knowing that the study of biology is the study of the soul, they pick up the Great Books to read and discuss (no watching tv if there is one in the house--and never with cable).
You are a STAR! So well written...thank you. I would have to disagree with RINO because just yesterday my husband showed me a youtube with a Christian Minister speaking profoundly as to why the Democrat Voting Black need to stop doing so--the Democrats were voting out "One Nation Under God". Alan Keyes and many others (Star shining brightly, too, with such an Opus Magnum) but get the usual head shaking, mock smiling, low liberal comments coupled with MSM approval and license that greatness is suppressed while childish mockery is rewarded. Let's keep praying for the conversion of all sinners (all including all of mankind), especially those who are most in need of God's Mercy. Thanks Star! Hope to see you in the Cleveland area in Spring
Well done, Larry. Your short sharing about your Grandmother and Father, and then your Father and Mother was what children need to hear. I hope and pray our nation and our world continues to grow in seeing each unique individual and not group by appearance. May Star Parker continue to touch the lives of victims to liberal lies. Some comments seem to be angrily speaking to you and not to your hypothetical "that's what many black parents..." still much work to be done increasing our compassion vs. a knee-jerk response for what we may not understand.
The person who commented that children need a more individualized education is smart. We were blessed to homeschool 2 of our 4 children through 9th grade. We never needed to come near the price per pupil they ask for in the public school setting...yet, as their teacher, I knew their strengths and their weaknesses and could tailor their specific subjects in a way that would best move them forward. Inclusion is nuts for all subjects...group them where they need to be, not beyond nor behind. Toss out all materials that have the "new agenda" in mind. To the one who said, "not all should be geared toward college....YES!" I was a terrible student and was told by counselors, "Forget college. Find something you'll enjoy doing."
Star Parker, God bless you (and your little grandbaby, and all of your loved ones)! Excellent catch regarding the education comments. It seems that ridding us of the entire Department of Education is a great idea! The best indicator (not the only) for success in K-12 education is a sound family life. Children need 5 good years of growth and development and time with family. They do not need to enter preschools and childcare places...they need the daily dose of love from Mom and brothers and sisters. They need to sit around the dinner table listening to Dad and Mom and getting their chance to share about their day. They don't need tv, nor cable, nor cell phones. The idea of pumping more money into a failed system is absurd.
