That's the same thing Dennis Archer went through. He tried to undo some of the corruption that Coleman Young had imposed on the city and only lasted one term as a "payback" for trying to fix the problems.

OK, point out the ones that are "flat out racist."

It's Dave Bing, and yes he is still the mayor. The problem is and always has been the Detroit City Council and their addiction to spending money they don't have. When they want to spend more they just raise the taxes on something to get the money. The people got tired of it and those who could leave did.

If we rebuild Tiger Stadium to it's original specs, could we get the Lions and Tigers to return HOME?? There's talk of a new stadium for the Red Wings. Why not rebuild the original Olympia Stadium (or the new one to those specs) at the corner of Grand River and McGraw, in the STILL vacant lot where it used to be.

I've often wondered if the people who fled Detroit because of the blatant racist policies of Coleman Young and his successors were to return and take back our home town from the Democrats, then start to rebuild all of the attractions they've torn down in their never ending quest for empty lots, how long would it take for Detroit to start to attract new businesses at a LOWER tax rate and maker Detroit a nice place to live and work again. I'm talking about Downtown Hudson's (which would probably be Macy's now), the Olympia Stadium, Tiger Stadium, Continental Bakery (Detroit's home of Hostess and Wonder bread), the Vernors plant, The Fisher Body Plant, etc etc, And MAYBE, with luck, and again a lower tax rate, bring the Big Three, sans the UAW and Teamsters, back to the top of the heap in the auto industry.
Don;t you mean DOZEN viewers (if even that many)?
The FIRST thing we need to do is get rid of the RINO's in the Senate. I'm betting that Hatch voted to confirm this bozo suckup!
