Recessions are from mental exhaustion. The masses begin to think: "things sure have gone well for a long time, it can't keep going. I've got everything I need, so I'm going to hold back for a while and ride it out." They do. The car starts to age, the couch is getting old, new utensils pop up (used to), 16 year olds age to 18-21 and get married. The market expands, and away we go.
