"Instead the deficit has increased by over $5.3 trillion and keeps on growing!" I am befuddled. I have alway thought the deficit was the yearly deficiency between income and expenditures and debt was the accumulation of the yearly deficits. We have never had a $5.3 trillion yearly deficit and we passed $5.3 trillion in the debt many years ago. Who made the blunder, Romney, Paulson, me?
