I copied mas789's stuff several times just to help out. Obviously, TH approves of 789's postings or they would stop them.
Another phony issue for Obama to beat the Republicans over the head with. One would hope that the gun owners go to full out war over the 2d Amendment this time. Everything: recalls, street meetings, letters, e-mail, demonstrations, advertisements, blogs, etc. etc.
An affirmative-action politically-correct racist-voting General purports to tell others to be politically correct. Powell is typical of the present day product of West Point, Annapolis and the Air Force Academy who attain their position by being, above all, politically correct. Google the comments of current day and especially recently past chiefs of staff of the military and you will see that they are all P-C. There was a G.W. Bush war against Iraq because Powell, unable to stand the sight of Muslim losses, advised G.H.W. Bush to stop at the Iraq border instead of taking care of the Hussein problem. Powell believes that wars are for dragging to a draw, not for winning.

My first Republican vote, absentee-cast in Tokyo in 1952, was for Ike and every one since has been Republican. My next vote will NOT be Republican, but will be for any 3d party that even pretends to be conservative and/or constitutional. The babble about a vote for a 3d party being a vote for the Demonrats is meaningless. Our two-party system is a 1.0001 party system.

Any party that lets Iowa and NH be the initial determinors of the GOP candidates is ill.

Has anyone besides me seen that VW Passat ad where the Dad is showing his son how to throw a baseball - just exactly like a girl would? Here's hoping that ad wrecks Passat. What if your dad, Barber, had been that guy that teaches his son to throw like a girl. You would have been orphaned that day.
What come next is the $1 Trillion coin, even though the FED and Treasury denies it. Most people, including mathemeticians, just cannot mentally grasp how much a trillion of anything is. At the current price of around $1,650 per ounce the $1 Trillion coin would: Weigh 18,900 TONS. Be a 30.4 feet by 30.4 feet by 30.4 feet cube i.e. 28,209 cubic feet The gubmint, however, would produce a one-ounce platinum coin and stamp its value on the face as $1 Trillion. They may use lead since it approximates the color of platinum. 17 of these lead coins, declared to be worth $1 Trillion each, could pay off the national debt.

-- historian Walter Russell Mead calls this the blue state model -- . Why blue? Isn't RED the color of statism, socialism, communism? Another Orwellian attempt to befuddle the language?
Is that focker a Messerschmidt? (Old joke, you may have to look it up);
