Seems to me everyone is dancing around the real issue, that being the loss of moral character. Of course it has consequences so why are you apparently surprised, don't you expect immoral choices to have consequences?

This trend line has been headed in an alarming direction for decades, but hitting the 50 percent threshold only seems like a matter of time at this point.  We're almost there already (via the Washington Times):
