We have been through this before in 1986 with Reagan. For those of you who don't remember or weren't there, let me put it this way, in 1986 I lived in a neighborhood that had 3-4 Hispanics living there. After Reagan passed the 1986 "amnesty" bill, within 5 years that neighborhood had been over run by it being over 80% illegal alien. These people had no intentions of becoming Americans, their loyalty remained to the country they were born in. With Reagan's bill we saw legalization of 3,000,000 illegal aliens. With the gang of 8's bill, we are looking at the legalization of 11- 20,000,000 illegal aliens with more to come (so called family reunification). Do we really want or need this? NO!

Mowing grass and lanscaping year round are now mostly done by Hispanics. I do not understand why you would want to mandate that immigrants should be paid 2x minimum wage. That would be putting illegal aliens ahead of American citizens.

This is another one of those "we have to pass it to find out what is in it bill" Seriously, a amnesty bill that sets hourly wages for foreign workers? Why not have a bill that is only a few pages long that states "lets get control of the border first, then we can discuss anything else only after that is accomplished."
