Those who would remove religious belief from our culture and nation have that very belief as a foundation for their ability to dissent. Holland is in the throes of a nationally viewed trial of a man who spoke harshly of Islam. The government, at the insistence of secular and Islamic activists, are attempting to destroy the man's life as penance for his "hateful views". Cartoons of a religious figure resulted in a death sentences (fatwahs)in Denmark, Nigeria, and Holland. Prison is the answer for anyone who dares offend a Muslim's sensibilities in Indonesia. Yet, it is in this land of liberty, religious and individual, that critics find the unfettered platform of benevolent tolerance upon which they may spout their vitriol.

Help! The People for the American Way are after me!
