Just reading the comments here has confirmed why we owe a great debt of gratitude to those brave souls who risked, and in some cases lost, all to establish this unique nation with the amalgam of values we enjoy today. While some would disagree that a kind and loving Deity had much to do with it I know the opposite to be true.
