True principles are generally learned through hard experience. The problem we faced was neither the messenger nor the message in this cycle. Gov Romney was one of the best candidates since Reagan. The problem is it is difficult to overcome the false message of "we give you free stuff. Adults understand that very few important things are free. Solution? Teach the truth and never waver - no matter where the teaching venue is found. Never change, equivocate, soften, or spin the message in favor of social acceptance.
