Mentioning General Washington and the Dear Leader in the same sentence makes many of us ill. It is instructive though through contrast.
It is helpful to remember that even the Savior was challenged by the political leaders of his day. His response is found in Luke 20:25 "And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things which be Cæsar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s". The good Bishop will likely offer a similar response to Ms Pelosi. The first clear lesson is that "gay marriage" (an unfortunate mixing of mutually exclusive terms) is not of God. The second is that no matter who the public official is, or whatever their professed faith is, the first amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America trumps said officials authority in any religious matter...even in the queendom (every pun intended) of San Francisco.

May I humbly disagree regarding the "talking suit" comment. It is now almost axiomatic to hear the refrain "dammit - Romney was right again". Extreme competence and authentic leadership rarely translate to unbounded charisma in that genuine humility tempers the ego at the same time. The Dear Leader has no such burdens.

Translate this experience to government and we see the problems maginified. Thus local government trumps large government in meeting the needs of the people who vote for those in office. The founders understood this well and created a very limited and narrowly empowered national authority. Empowering the person at the point of service, including proper training, is the winning solution. SAS Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Southwest Airlines, as well as a few others, do so and the results are clear.
...Spout... mea culpa. Too upset by this turd's odium.
Apout that drivel to those who have died. Your comments bespeak a fatally obtuse mind.

Just a thought on the recurring theme of "emptying out Gitmo"; there is more than one way to accomplish that goal. And, the bay full of sharks is right at hand to recycle the excess protein.
Mr Zuckerberg and his bride are to be commended for their philanthropy. Their methodology remains unfortunate. Putting a pretty new coat of paint on a decrepit structure already full of holes and rot will not yield benefit anyone except those who sell paint.
I disagree. They didn't have problems with history, they had problems with fraud. Placing the Dear Leader in front of the Siegesaulle, or a faux greek temple, or even the Stars and Stripes to attempt to communicate some mystical linkage is committing a fraud. He is no more a figure worthy of those placements than he could be a Major League pitcher by putting him on the mound in Fenway.

You are a lying liar telling lies ad infinitum. The problem is you , and so many like you, accept "history" lessons from a movie - A MOVIE! The facts speak differently. To you and your ilk that doesn't matter at all.
Stuff it turd. Bash Gov Romney is all you have to offer? Very, very sad.
