Speaking of Joseph Goebbels, I've been reading "Rise and Fall of the Third Reich," and I recently got through the part where Goebbels, Goering and company basically trumped up morals charges against senior generals in the German officer corps so that they could replace them with loyal Nazis.

I'm not normally given to conspiracy theories, but it makes me wonder if Petraeus' "biographer" was a plant...
