One is surprised this wasn't done in the last couple of Congresses. Only because some of the old Dems didn't want to give up their perks. But, you betcha, if the opportunity presents itself to stuff SCOTUS or do even more harm (one finds it difficult to think of what Reid could do), then Shazam!

No one should be the least bit surprised; Reid's been talking about this for awhile, and even moved unilaterally to alter long-standing Senate rules to shield his members from difficult votes last year (mission accomplished).  Filibuster "reform:" Coming soon to a Senate near you?
