Reid will tie up the Senate, regardless, unless the GOP gets 51 seats AND ends the filibuster. You betcha the Dems will play hard ball to the point of making the W years look like The Club Of Lost Friends. Oh, and Bernanke will start cranking up the rates to insure the 2014 economy is either in depression or recession. It's all part of how they gamed this. For them, they're truly in the drivers seat. They could be right.

You need 61 votes to end a filibuster. But, for tax legislation the minority cannot filibuster. The pollsters overall indicate that the GOP will suffer a net loss of 2 seats this election. This goes beyond disappointing. And forget about Atkins; his race is an outlier. The GOP had solid chances in Michigan, South Dakota, Montana, as well as Virginia and Florida. These seats were definitly in play last May. But the local Republican parties there put up Establishment Republicans who differed little with their Democrat opponent.

Shortly after Romney's speech concluded, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the guy who hasn't even introduced a budget in more than 2000 days, vowed not to work with Romney should he win next Tuesday.

Mitt Romney may be promising bipartisanship in his closing argument in the 2012 contest, but one of the Republican presidential nominee's harshest critics on...
