Is America Coming Apart?

Donjindra,

That this country may be splitting apart due to irreconcilable differences is no sadder than a marriage that ends for the same reasons. It's like beating your head against a wall -- it feels so good when you stop. And why do you think conservatives should be the ones to relocate? This country was founded on conservatism. To quote Maggie Thatcher, "The facts of life are conservative." It is liberals and liberal policies -- including allowing near-unrestricted legal immigration of unassimilable people from Third-World countries, as well as the corruption of the public school system with irrational, liberal thinking -- that has caused this country to change. This is about the only place left with even a slight...

Has Obama's Luck Run Out?

I want to see his college transcripts. Why are those being hidden? What do they show? That this supposed "Boy Genius" who managed to become editor of the Harvard Law Review but didn't publish a single paper is not really that bright? What was his LSAT score? How did he attend such pricey schools? Who paid for them? Did he apply for scholarships as a foreigner?

What are BHO and his Kool-aid drinkers so afraid of that they are hiding from the American people?

This fraud needs to be ignominiously thrown out on his can in 2012, along with his hulking, ugly wife and two spoiled brats.
How can it be? Becoming a medical professional is a choice, at least at the moment. So if no one chose to go into the medical profession, how could anyone make good on his or her "right"? It isn't like free speech, to which everyone has a right. Free speech doesn't require that others chose of their own free will to obtain degrees in listening. Likewise, the right to free assembly does not require that free public transportation exist.

Liberals need to grow up and start seeing the world and life the way they are, not the way they wish they were. Their world view and paradigm of life are at odds with reality and human nature. I try to avoid them at every turn; thus, my chosen profession (science and engineering).

Are the Dems Suicidal?

With each passing day, I realize I am less and less suited for this crazy country. Why are this mad dog's approval ratings as high as they are? Why aren't 90% of Americans against this bill? What aren't more people completely outraged at the indefensible and unfathomable amounts of borrowing and spending?

I can guarentee one thing. If this thing passes, if this sort of over-the-top outrageous, arrogant behavior continues from this fraud of a President, who ran as a centrist but is ruling like a Third-World Leftist dictator, people like me are going to hasten our plans to drop out of this society. We will either be living off-grid in this country, bartering for what we need, or we will be watching from a safe distance in...
I don't think he's going to get any bounce in poll numbers as a result of this. It comes across to those already disllusioned with him as another easy PR move, akin to his various grand speeches. It's yet another substitute for the hard work he should be doing but instead outsources to Congress or to his various "czars." All this guy does is take vacation, play golf, host dinners, give speeches, and delegate the hard work and grinding details to others. He's a slacker of the first order...but then, that's exactly what 48% of the voting populace knew last November. He's never had a job in his life, so why start now?

Let him try forcing health care "reform" on an unwilling American public through reconciliation or other...
per the latest Rasmussen poll. This is the highest percentage yet. Since O's been mostly out of the public eye for the past week, which ususally results in his strongly disapprove numbers going down slightly, I think that the fact that they've increased is due to this issue -- both the fact that he's allowing Holder to proceed and the cowardly way in which he's trying to distance himself from it. The American people don't want this investigation and see it for the political witch hunt and sop to the Left that it is. O is on a death spiral, because his intrinsic beliefs are completely at odds with those of the typical American.

Socialist America Sinking

Touche! But remember, you're talking to a liberal, for whom rational thinking does not compute and mature acceptance of facts is not possible except when inescapable (e.g., having to deal with a mugger when no one is around). Facts will compute with people like Will only when they are forced to make enough Unprincipled Exceptions (see Lawrence Auster) to their liberal tenets for their liberal tenets to no longer be supportable.

Liberals must learn by direct experience. Unfortunately, those of us who already know these things must suffer along with the liberals as they finally "get it."

Why Obama Should Decline the 'Prize'

Cat's Meow Wrote: Oct 11, 2009 8:54 AM
Republicans will likely never win the Peace Prize -- more likely Nobel prizes for science, math, or even literature where more objectivity is required and liberalism doesn't hold quite as much sway. No, the Nobel Peace Prize is an award given to liberals by liberals. Conserviatives / libertarians such as myself quit caring about it after Arafat won it, followed by the anti-Semitic peanut farmer and that hypocritical global bag of hot air. So your question of "Why have no Republicans won the thing this year?" is really a non-question, sort of like asking, "Why don't liberals ever consider nominating or voting for a Republican for the Nobel Peace Prize?"

This award was obviously meant to tie our Fearless Reader's (Peace Prize be...

Obama's Slipping Grip on the Public

Resist the urge to feel sorry for this Fraud. It's not like anyone wants to draw-and-quarter him. We just want him out of there where he can do no damage. Yes, his massive ego may suffer when he realizes he's one-and-done, but he asked for this job, which came with no guarantee of success. I've been laid-off more than once, and as painful as those experiences were, they forced me to do quite a bit of introspection and also made me extremely proactive in maintaining marketable skills so that I'm in demand.

This fool and his wife will retire with life-time Secret Service protection and enough money to play basketball, eat Wahoo beef or whatever it's called, have fake date nights anywhere in the world, and buy a new $6000 purse...
