How very sad! I remember how proud I was when I received the home-making badge, the sewing badge and the cooking badge. I also remember when during career day at school, (this was in the early 70s), I wrote in "Housewife and Mother". I was told I could not put that as a career because it was not a career. I then got into trouble for "back talking" when I pointed out that was my Mother's career choice why could it not be mine. The feminist propaganda machine started way back then. What a sad day when even the Girl Scouts are effected.
My Parents were just like the Cleavers. My Mom stayed at home, had dinner ready when Dad came home, and she managed to have that trim waistline after having three children, (it is usually age and other factors, not merely child bearing that causes the trim waistline to disappear). I must admit she did not always wear pearls, though Barbara Billingsly only wore pearls on the show to hide a scar on her neck. My Dad NEVER sat drinking beer and watching football. Instead he took us girls out fishing with him on Sundays. Dad was a successfull business owner who worked hard and provided well for his family. Mom was a successfull house wife who kept the house immaculate and who was a very good cook. Every morning we would sit down to...
Well said, in fact, VERY well said!!!! Something that is all too often forgotten by feminists and so-called "career women" is that being a Mother IS a full time job in which there are no set hours below 24 per day, no minimum wage, no paid vacations, no holidays and no guarantees. "They" have also forgotten, or have never been taught, that being a Mother can be the most rewarding, enlightening and educational experiences of a lifetime and full of perks that no employer could ever give and it needs no outside employment influences to make it better. If a woman simply must have an outside career because she believes that it will fill some void within, let her either wait to have children or pursue that outside career after her...

Joseph, please do not lump all Conservatives together. I am a Conservative, however, I believe in your right to parent as you wish and worship, or not, as you wish. I do not believe in anyone forcing their beliefs, religious or otherwise, upon others. Regarding the rest of your post: well said.

Mr. Bozell, There is a very simple explanation of why the Hollywood practice, such as the example you provided, continues. Sex sells. It has been that way since humans figured out how to trade things of value, be it trinkets or gold, for that which they desired. There are so many social and culture issues that tie into the practice of sexual innuendoes found in the entertainment industry today that entire volumes could be written. Yet the basic premise remains: sex sells. Regarding the "Teen Temptress" in your example, she is doing what every teen does in some way or another, rebelling. She knows that it is a fact that "old men" lust after pretty "teen girls" and there is a statement to be made along with the money she makes off of...
I agree. The work for "We the People" has just begun. We MUST stay tuned into what our reps are doing in DC and keep their feet to the fire. If our representative starts to falter it is up to each and every one of us to let them know in no uncertain terms that they can be voted out as easily as they were voted in. I only hope that people will not start slacking off on staying politically aware of what is going on. Our country and our freedoms are still at stake.
Well said!

So you want the government to tell you what is and what is not natural? Interesting. It is not the government's responsibility to "give" healthcare to anyone, btw.

You have a right to your religious beliefs. You have a right to teach your children your beliefs. You do not have the right to force your beliefs upon others, neither does anyone else. As far as your statement about your working in the health field: I sincerely doubt it is anywhere near the realm of sexual practices or anatomical studies or physiology, for your simple statement clearly shows your lack of knowledge on the subject. I could go into details and medical terminology, however, it would be lost on you. You need to accept that there are people who just do not give a rat's behind about what your personal religious doctrine teaches and they will continue to do what they wish and believe how they wish. No one on this board...

Therefore, it is alright if two people who love each other form a life time partnership and share everything, as long as they do not practice sodomy? What about all those hetersexual couples out there who practice sodomy? Should sex only be practiced for procreation and nothing else? Is it therefore impossible for sex to be a loving act, merely because prostitutes have sex without love? Sodomy does not cause an early death, btw. Sexual promiscuity and the spread of STDs is what contributes to the causes of early death. Really, Patty, you should stay out of other people's bedrooms. Live and let live.
