Winning After Losing on Gay Marriage

If we lave 'lost' this battle by virtue of the alleged fact that homosexuals can now 'marry' each other without impediment, then we will never lose, since that aforementioned deed is and will always be impossible, because that is simply not what marriage is. Of course gay people can live together, and have civil unions, and do whatever they want to do behind closed doors. That's been going on since almost the beginning of mankind. But the lunacy here is to dilute and to devalue marriage by associating it with what these sexually confused people are doing. If majorities of voters are now going to start accepting and approving of this iniquity, then I'm afraid this is a sign that America, as a free republic, may be witnessing her final days.

You have to live in denial. Legal marriage is whatever the government says it is. Gay people aren't sexually confused. Your homophobia is caused by your own inability to deal with your own same sex attractions. I bet you're divorced. Am I right?

ANd there you have it folks a flat our denial of our Constitution.

Our Constitution says that our freedoms are from God. Our founding fathers made it IRREFUTABLY clear that the moment we got rid of that we gave government full rights to give and take away.
Pinkmusic, I don't know who taught you American studies but you have been lied to...and they are doing their best to make the Constitution go away so that you won't read that lie.

So let me see YOU say that I am lying when I tell you that I have gay friends.
YOU say that Cartwright must be divorced
YOU say that anyone who is against it (half the country and a little more) is a homophobe.

No, I don't think you're right about much.

As a lawyer, I sometimes have to deliver news that clients don’t want to hear. Here’s some for conservatives. The gay marriage fight is over. It is here to stay, and conservatives – whether for it, against it or just tired of hearing about it – need to coolly and dispassionately figure out just how we are going to win going forward.

This is not a judgment about its pros and cons. We’re past that. None of it matters anymore. This is about dealing with reality. Whether the fight ends with a Constitution-twisting Supreme Court ruling or after years or...
