In response to:

President Obama and Racial Division in America

This article might make us all feel better, but we need to be honest. Alot, and I mean alot of what has occurred since Obama's 2008 election has been racially motivated, starting with massive opposition to his policies by Congress. Once the novelty of voting in a 'black' man as president wore-off; many whites stopped looking for success and focused on his failures. I'm not saying all whites have been racist, because there are many who have and do stand by President Obama. If he fails at re-election, I just hate it that many whites will probably say it is because 'blacks' are just not intelligent enough to lead. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't know even one white who would say that Obama lost "because 'blacks' are just not intelligent enough to lead." I don't know one white who would even think it, let alone say it!

Sorry to jump in ahead of earlier posters. But CarolinaSistah is wrong.
It is honest to say that Obama, by policy and behavior, has ripped any healing off the wounds.
As I see young Americans, they befriend others that are of a different race, more than ever before.
The discrimination is from people, and it's demise is in our founding documents, but people have fought the changes tooth and nail. Those founding documents are being ignored, while winners and losers are decided in un-American ways. Too many of us respect Allen West, Bill Cosby and any number of men and women that are not into income-redistribution and self deceit. If a black does not believe blacks deserve special perks and goodies, look at the hate.

Your letter is 'racist' thru and thru. The half-white man, Barack Obama, is being rejected, not because of his 'race' (which is MULATTO), but because of his absolutely failed, immoral social and economic policies. And yet, the only 'prism' thru which you can see his failure, Sistah, is his failure is because of his racial status. That is why I label your letter as 'racist', thru and thru. It's sad that the half-white President, Barack Obama, had such a miserable, failed Presidency. It will reflect very poorly on his black 'half'. Sistah, Blacks in this country (or 1/2 blacks, 1/4 blacks, 1/8, etc.)are NOT going to be 'graded' on a separate 'grading curve' for failure or success. That would be 'racist'.

I agree, totally, and hope Andy never stops talking Truth to Power, with him having the truth and the users, like Sharpton, having the power.

Before Barack Obama was elected as our 44th president, I issued a warning to my radio listeners: As much as I was eager to see a black man (and black family) in the White House, if he was the wrong man for the job, rather than bringing greater racial unity to America, he would bring greater racial strife.

I truly wish I had been wrong about this, but the facts speak for themselves. And clearly, this is not rocket science.

For the most part, a white, Hispanic, or Asian vote for Barack Obama in 2008 demonstrated that Americans were...
