Say what you will, but Bill Clinton just won the Presidency for Obama. He probably got a few republicans to turn and no small number of Independents. That was some speech.

Joe Biden did not get where he is being dumb. I wouldn't under-estimate him in this upcoming debate - obviously Ryan is smart enough to see that.

He just spoke what I'm hearing many of my people (black) saying.... so blind with fear. I am very sad for poor people, but I'm particularly devastated at the plight of black America. We are our own worst enemy.

There are families who truly need the assistance that food stamps bring -- hard working people who work minimum wage jobs (plural) that barely make ends meet. I grow weary of the constant painting of all those who utilize food stamps as lazy, money-grabbing, good-for-nothings who live for government handouts. After my husband left me for another woman, I found that my job alone did not suffice for all expenses with two young children. I depended upon food stamps and Medicaid until I got to a place where I didn't need them. Have some compassion for those who truly need the help and don't have a sense of entitlement.
