Now you can all see what kind of idiot we have for senator. The other idiot is Chris Murphy. Both are liberal fools who leave the conservatives in CT with nowhere to turn for any common sense. Jim Himes is my representative in the House and he's another fool. CT is in debt, has high unemployment; people are moving out, and the majority seems to think voting for and electing Dems is the answer. I wish I were able to move, but can't happen now.

I feel for you, Carole28. I'm a former born-bred in Connecticut who left more than 20 years ago for FL. I hated the left-leaning state legislature, the high sales tax, the high income tax, the incessant spending that Dems supported. It was a good place to work and make money when I was there, but the writing has been on the wall for many years. It is sad to see my home state decline year after year, but that's what clearly happens to Dem-led states. Witness California. I hope you do get to move soon because I think CT is beyond hope and there are still many wonderful places to live in America.

"How would anything in the bill, as it currently stands, have stopped anything that went on in Newtown?” Crowley asked. “The majority leader has assured me and other proponents of these measures that we can offer amendments on both the assault-weapons ban and the prohibition on high-capacity magazines, so there will be both,” Blumenthal responded, adding that he intends to...
