I came down with polio in 1954 when I was 7, same year the vaccine came out. A year later, I had surgery which has now caused me multiple problems and I've had to have several surgeries to try and correct problems. Walking is a chore and very difficult and I live with daily pain from the PPS and fibro.

For many years when I was younger, I was able to walk and I walked a lot and maintained my weight around 120 lbs. In the mid-80s, the surgeries started and I am getting ready to have another one.
