If the people you have aligned with in the past are no longer consistent, might as well make your statement. Risk the election. I wanted Tom McClintock for Governor. He was ahead, but when Schwarzeneggar announced, Tom's ratings crashed. McClintock is now in the House, so they are benefiting from his knowledge. However, the state of California has suffered through Schwarzeneggar. We had to threaten to impeach him before he started acting a bit more conservative.
