Obama May Be Forced to Respond to "Deport Piers Morgan"

Apparently, some people here don't understand how U.S. immigration law works. You can't simply deport someone for expressing a point of view -- never mind one shared by a great many U.S. citizens. Piers Morgan has not committed, nor threatened to commit, any crime. He's here legally. He hasn't violated the terms of his lawful permanent resident status. This petition will go nowhere, and deservedly so. For those who claim he hates the Second Amendment, I see very little respect here for the First Amendment. And at any rate, I'll take one Briton over 100 Mexicans. Yes, race and language do matter.

I on the other hand will gladly take 100 mexicans vs. on ecommie marxist moron like Pierce. Does he not know our history? That it was citizen soldiers that fought the tyranny of his king and won! He and others like him are the reason we have the 2nd ! and being a foreign national, talking about disarming the populace is a seditious act!

You have to take into consideration that Piers Morgan is a pompus, conceited, a** of the worst kind. He is a British 'know-it-all' and thinks he is the epitimy of anything right and proper! He is a typical British bird brain! He is a typical, arrogant, uppity and inconsiderate, rude, British subject! Even the U. K. doesn't want him! They want the USA to keep him and thanks the USA for even having him here as long as he is OUT of England! He isn't wanted anywhere!

Listen up, skippy. Speaking out against the Constitution and calling for ignoring the law is called "sedition". It's a crime. Look it up. Then you won't look so stupid next time.

Further, those involved are exercising THEIR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF FREE SPEECH AND SEEKING REDRESS FROM THEIR GOVERNMENT FOR GRIEVANCES.

Again, don't you feel stupid now?

There was no "sedition" in this case, Einstein. A lawful permanent resident has to violate a law in order to be deportable. And on a practical level, Piers Morgan could get a pricey lawyer and drag any deporation order out for years. Back in the 70s, another Brit, John Lennon, who had a weaker case, prevailed after a half-dozen-year battle with U.S. immigration authorities.

Morgan did not "speak out against the Constitution." He simply disagrees, as do tens of millions of Americans, with a particular interpretation with one of its amendments. You can bray all you want, but ain't nothing gonna come of this. It's all show and no go.
UPDATE: The White House petition is nearing 50,000 signatures, and President Obama is expected to respond. The original post is below the video:

The Obama White House runs a petition website called "We the People," which encourages Americans to sign up with a White House account in order to create and sign petitions. If a petition meets a certain threshold of signatories within 30 days - right now it's 25,000, though that number has changed often - then President Obama will issue an official response.
