On a scale from 1 to 10, with 1 meaning "no chance" and 10 meaning "a sure thing," how would people here rate Gov. Chris Christie's chances of getting the GOP nomination for president in 2016?

He WILL get the nomination. He is the only politician/leader who actually does and did his job for his constituency instead of parroting what others say.

Think it'll actually matter by then, Carl?

That would be a 2. Of course I would've rated Romney a 2 if asked the same question in 2008, so we'll likely get another McCain-like loser candidate.

No kiddin. I think the RNC will try some identity politics next time around, so they need anything but a white guy. They'll look for ethnic backgrounds like Jindal or Rubio. Maybe a hispanic woman for VP. Disgusting isn't it?

Could be. I keep hearing them talk about the need to befriend minorities rather than marginalize them. Which just plays to the MSM's false stereotyping of a party that is just as diverse than Dems, if not more so.

I could support Rubio.
