Will is making a pragmatic argument questioning the wisdom of continuing a war he considers unwinable. Men and women of good will can and do disagree...this includes Conservatives. Suggesting he is now a lefty is laughable...thought not surprising given the lefts simplemind and naive view of the world.

This is a bit of a non-sequitur, I admit, but the global warming panic comparision to Silent Spring/DDT obcession is eerie and probably just as inaccurate.

Party for anything it did right but rather to the Democrats, specifically the triumvirate of Obama/Pelosi/Reed, for all it did and continues to do wrong. It is this writer’s belief the credit goes to this wonderful and unique political system we call America, so complex in fact that it while democracy continues to grow and flourish around the globe, our system has yet to be duplicated. In just 12 months since the '08 election wherein the mistaken message of mandate was taken by those brought to power, the system has already begun to self correct. The RNC would do well to not likewise over read or misunderstand the '09 message...whatever it turns out to be...and to serve the conservative movement rather than the other way around.
