President Obama and his Middle East Negotiator George Mitchell continue to press the Israelis for a total construction freeze on disputed territory claimed by Palestinians. The administration implicitly supports the Palestinian refusal to return to negotiations until such an unconditional freeze is in place. As Charles Krauthammer observes, the Palestinians negotiated for more than sixteen years, and even agreed to the Oslo Accords, with no Israeli commitment to stop building housing on contested territory like East Jerusalem.

Folly In Pursuit of Peace
Sadly, you do prove what part of the Israel problem is. It isn't just the Jews who have far too much influence in this country. It's also their unholy alliance with Christian nutbags who just can't wait for the end of the world so their Sky Pixie and their Cosmic Zombie can come back and inflict revenge on anyone who didn't accept their take on the Big Book of Judean Fairy Tales. Of course, the real problem isn't that the sky pixie is going to end the world. He doesn't exist. It's that we dumb ape descendents are perfectly capable of doing it ourselves.
