How many flavors of crazy is it for President Obama and Democrat leaders to continue the forced march toward a vote on a health care bill despised by the majority of Americans? The New York Times lays out what's happening:

Dereliction of Duty
Me- Quite right. But the problem with employer based health insurance is that if you DO opt out, you have to 1) Come up with that money out your own salary, 2) Find someone who will insure you outside a group rate (nearly impossible these days, Wellpoint just tried to raise private plans 38%.) 3) Hope your employer doesn't fire you if you get sick to save a few bucks.
Now, if you were to require employers to pay you the equivlent of what they pay to insure you and let you go shopping on your own, that would be a different issue. But employers don't want to give that power up, and insurers don't want to, either. (Otherwise, laws preventing things like...
