The United States Congress passed laws regarding Medicare and Medicaid that became de facto mandatory programs. States all the time require people to have driver’s licenses. I think that this is a bit of a spurious argument that’s being made by some folks.

Me- And why do you have a problem with that? I would rather have the state picking the best and brightest and educating them, rather than have some poor kid with a decade of tuition bills to pay off overcharging his patients to pay them off.
"It's only in America that they provide more. Why do you think that so many people come to America for state of the art surgeries and treatment."
Me- Not really true. Yes, people come here from third world countries, but certainly not from those socialist European countries you whine about.
"Why don't all you socialists just move to Europe and leave our country alone? We will happily die in our capitalist hellhole!...
