Republicans to the Rescue?

Let me guess. You're the current resident leftist troll.
You sound just like something out of Kipling's poem, Tommy: You talk o' better food for us, an' schools, an' fires, an' all: We'll wait for extry rations if you treat us rational. Don't mess about the cook-room slops, but prove it to our face The Widow's Uniform is not the soldier-man's disgrace. For it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "Chuck him out, the brute!" But it's "Saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot; An' it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' anything you please; An' Tommy ain't a bloomin' fool -- you bet that Tommy sees!

Exactly how I feel. I'm tired of being told that I have to not only accept homosexuality (which I always have as part of the human condition) but to APPROVE of it as a valid lifestyle. I shouldn't have to approve of anything under force, and I won't. I don't force people to approve of what I do in my life, and I don't feel that I have to approve of everything anyone else does either. Just do it, and leave me out of it.
Apparently they didn't like my last comment, so let's make this "non-offensive"--could you pretty please show us statistics to back up this statement about 43 instances?
As I have said a couple times elsewhere, you are only able to make such a statement because she didn't mow down a couple of bystanders instead of hitting cars. I have a concealed weapons permit too, so I'm not a liberal anti-gun nut. I also know that if she had nailed a couple of patrons she'd be facing charges. She lucked out this time. And she needs practice.
If she had been unlucky enough to hit bystanders instead of cars, what would you say about her need to learn how to shoot then? Just whipping out a gun and spraying the atmosphere is asking for trouble. I understand that target practice does not equal shooting at moving targets that are coming after you, but at the very least when she came out of that restroom she should have had enough time to dot at least one of the perps' eyes, since they were apparently all looking at her husband. She is VERY lucky she didn't kill a bystander. Spray and pray is not acceptable use of a firearm. Just ended up lucky this time.
Let's have some statistics to back up this pseudo-statistic that you apparently pulled out of your nether regions.
I know you won't agree, but you should NEVER pull your weapon unless you fully intend to use it. Trying to scare someone with your gun and hesitating for effect could very likely give the person you're trying to scare the opportunity to pull his own gun, and, trust me, if he did, he wouldn't just brandish it to try to scare YOU. It may be your opinion that it will stop an incident, but I'd like to see statistics to back up your statement that "...it is far, far more likely that a simple show, (call it a threat display), of such an "equalizer", to the robbers / murderers / rapists etc, will cause the incident to rapidly de-escalate." Opinions presented as facts are still opinions, sorry.
You have a good point, but she apparently just yanked out her gun and sprayed the air. She could have just as easily killed a bunch of patrons as she shot those cars outside. And if she HAD shot a patron, she'd be in the clink for it. I don't think you should take jokamura's comment as scolding, JTX. In the courtroom, you are required to account for and justify EVERY ROUND you fire.
Yeah, how does the NRA get their cut? Which orifice did you pull that one out of?
