there seems to be strong correlation between the sale of strawberry ice cream and the salaries of teachers. It would seem if we pass a law ban strawberry ice cream we could save a lot of money on teachers. What do you think?
I am pretty sure she did it, but I fault the prosecution for not proving their case. The defense left the jury with enough questions to make it hard to say 'with certainty' she was guilty.

The Shot that Killed bin Laden

I hope we don't find out. The administration threw another Seal in jail for punching a terrorist in the mouth. I expect they would throw the hero of Team 6 under the bus just as quickly if somebody on the far left complained!!!

It isn't a new concept. Your point has been around for years and years. "If an injury has to be done to a man it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared. Men should be either treated generously or destroyed, because they take revenge for slight injuries - for heavy ones they cannot." (Niccolo Machiavelli)
I don't think the term 'smooth talker' was the one you wanted. I think 'content free presenter' is more apt.

Intimidation and Tyranny

I think the government has done a great job of turning people's wrath loose on Julian Assange. He's the publisher not the leaker. I'd like to suggest that the State Department and Department of Defense should be feeling a lot more heat than they are for the fiasco their DADT poster boy caused. So while not letting Julian Assange off the hook for his part let's get back on track and hold Hillary and the responsible party at the DOD's feet to the fire along with his.

Cure or Care?

Here in the US we have it backwards. In ancient China you paid your doctor until you got sick then you stopped because he had failed to keep you well. Today the US medical system would go nuts without a constantly growing supply of people to treat. As for the cost of health care I think we must be number 1 in the world. As for the quality of care the World Health Organization puts the US at number 37. Just behind Costa Rica (36), and just ahead of Slovenia (38) and Cuba (39).
I have an idea. In the free and openness of the moment let's build a Cathedral in Bosnia a couple blocks from the site where thousands of Muslim men and boys were murdered? What do you think? I bet peace loving muslims would want to support that.

Robert Reich is Clueless

You wrote 'Reich is certainly a smart man, a very educated man and a very accomplished man.' I'm not so sure about your assessment. I have listened to Mr Reich since the Clinton administration and come to the following conclusions, Smart? I'm not convinced. Let us not confuse schooling with education. He does have a bunch of schooling. Educated? Again I am not convinced. And lastly, accomplished? Well what has he actually done? Much of his life has been pretty insulated. Now if you had mentioned short I would have to agree completely. He is short and you remember what Randy Newman sang about short people.
I don't think that you are reading the Constitution correctly. Are you permitted to benefit from a crime under the Constitution? I can't believe that the founding father's intended people to receive protection under the Constitution for illegal acts for those acts or other related acts. If you are in the country illegally (a crime in case you didn't know) then acts committed in conjunction with that crime should gain no benefit.
