As a matter of fact, late one evening I drove up on a huge bon-fire surrounded by a whole bunch of "Yellow Dog" Democrat males, all wearing white sheets and hoods. And, I suspect they were all white as their robes.

You see, most of us Texas raised boys know from first hand experience, the home party of the KKK is most certainly NOT the GOP.

News broke over the weekend that minorities are receiving less than 2% of the contracts awarded by the federal government with stimulus money.

Some people think that’s a non-issue, because they believe that racial quotas are unfair and discriminatory.

“I believe that no distinctions can be made on the basis of race,” said Scott Detamore, a managing attorney at the Mountain States Legal Foundation. “So far it doesn’t appear that the federal government has committed overt discrimination.”

Others think it’s a huge issue, and that awarding contracts based on race is not discriminatory.
