One skeleton I'll never forget was the day Bill White was sworn in as the State Democratic Party Chair. During his acceptance speech he made a big deal about the forgotten "Yellow Dog" populace in the "Big Thicket." Talked about how he was going to work to re-energize this group of forgotten Democrats in East Texas.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison has conceded to incumbent Gov. Rick Perry in the Texas GOP gubernatorial primary, making Perry the Republican nominee in November's general election. There, Perry is certain beat out challenger Democrat Bill White, the former three-term mayor of Houston.
