Never, during my young life did the states turn to the federal government for aid on the scale we see happening today.

But, what we witness today is the result of a federal government growing completely unrestrained by anything like a bunch of words scribbled on a few pages of parchment by a bunch of long since dead white guys. It is a result of this federal government, taking, and taking, then taking some more.

This federal government has already extracted the lifes blood from these United States.

So what else can the individual state do, but turn to the very parasite that has killed them?

News flash: It often snows in Syracuse. And it rains. Even floods, sometimes.

Another news flash: these are not federal disasters. Or, at least, they shouldn’t be. But these days, far too many things are labeled as federal disasters -- often weeks or even months later.
