Unbelievable, your delusion borders on Howard Dean's. It wasn't the Republican establishment that saw Todd Akin crushed in an election any 4 year old could have won. It was his big mouth. Did you see the commercials here in MO for Claire McCaskill? Of course not, you and your ilk are determined to have YOUR republican party or none at all and reality can go straight to hell.

Memorandum to the GOP: When running an election campaign it is often valuable to select a nominee who represents the rank and file of the Party. This is how other Parties do it. Perhaps you might get on board.
