well i grew up catholic, baptised, confirmation, etc. while voting your conscience is fine civil rights are black and white, u cant be more or less equal...its equal or not....that being said. i think education is the key ...many good people grew up in traditional conservative, religious families...my mum one example..its hard to overcome your upbringing. but the fact is this is a civil right not a conscience vote.

to me it seems like where the repub. party is damaging itself is with my generation.... the younger gen. is turned off by a lot of the repub. platform... the future people wake up

exactly most of my generation think it is ridiculous that the repub. party is so focused on supposed family value issues, guess what your idea of family may not be mine...its 2012, get it...abortion, gay marriage, christian blah blah blah... whats funny is i have plenty of friends who are fiscally conserv. but wouldnt touch the rep. party with a ten foot pole for its right wing, govt. stay out of our lives except for abortion, gay rights, etc, etc, you guys have alienated a large part of the major future voting block of this country.

fool...do some analytical thinking....first do u really think the difference in votes will result in dems switching to rep over gay marriage... just like u guys won the catholic vote over abortion...wait u didnt the fact is gay marriage is becoming more and more accepted...people realize it is a civil rights issue. its not like people who favor gay marriage are likely to all of a sudden oppose it while more and more of those opposed to it are coming to accept it... medved is a bigot
