I am one of those nut-case teachers (college level) who thinks that I should be allowed to carry in class. I would, of course, welcome additional training if it were offered. Since it would not be part of my job description -- I would not be being paid as a guard -- the additional cost to the school would be zero or next to zero.

I know a Wayne State (Detroit) professor who has carried in class for years.

He said some of the other professors and admin folks are aware, but have never complained.
