SENATE CHAMBERS (Democratic Caucus) June 31st 1973 Daniel Patick Moynihan: "so as I've indicated fellow Democrats, the data is crystal clear, the programs of LBJ and our Party are destroying black families from coast to coast" Robert Byrd: "Shut up you drunken mick. This isn't about people, it's about politics. We've got them folks beggin for stuff from the man again. They're back on the plantation where they belong. Besides, since the GOP shoved that God darned Civil Rights Act down our throats, we've gotta give them darkies something"

Hey Libs, don't get your panties in a bunch. Yes I made up
the conversation, but admit thought it might be real.

The strategy was pure evil genius. Jimmy Carter is a racist
and a member of a 'Whites Only' church when he ran for
President. He managed to get the vote of George Wallace,
the Klan and also a plurality of black Americans in poverty.

Don't be deceived by the half African color of Pres Obama.
Under his 'leadership', things have gotten much worse for
Black Americans. Tell us, what does the Hawaii private
school Harvard boy know of Black Americas' journey?
How much slave blood flows through his veins?

"If they reach the middle class Pat, they'll go back to the Republicans.
Our programs provide penalties for marriage, working and birth control...
by our calculations, we'll have over half of Hispanics from broken homes
by the next century, they'll be crawlin to us for daddy dollars too"

"You go to Hell Robert, and take your fellow Klansman with you"

"This is wrong, we can't destroy an entire group of Americans for political gain"

"We've already done all them calculations patty boy, twenty years from now,
every state with a large urban underclass will be painted beautiful blue and
everytime them colored-lovin Republicans try to restore the black family...
we're gonna blame them for taken food from the mouth of black babies"

"We'll all burn in Hell Robert...why not help these folks to escape poverty?"
Whatever the ultimate outcome of the case against George Zimmerman for his shooting of Trayvon Martin, what has happened already is enough to turn the stomach of anyone who believes in either truth or justice.

An amazing proportion of the media has given us a painful demonstration of the thinking -- and lack of thinking -- that prevailed back in the days of the old Jim Crow South, where complexion counted more than facts in determining how people were treated.

One of the first things presented in the media was a transcript of a conversation between George Zimmerman and a police dispatcher. The...
