If Brown makes it 51-49 instead of 50-50, I'd take Brown. He's more conservative than the alternative, so why not? Unless and until we get a few more Republican senators (in future elections), we need as many R's in both the Senate and House as we can get. The single most important reason to have as many Republican senators as we can get is this: Supreme Court appointments.
