Near the bottom of page one, you really meant "Allusions" and not "Illusions", didn't you?

Blocking the Paths Out of Poverty

The thought that quickly crossed my mind as I read about the cart/shop boundary issue is the "bubble zone" around abortion sites. The carts are offering an option to the shop, and should be allowed to. The pro-lifers are offering an option to the abortionist, and should be allowed to; after all, this is about much more than profit!

End the Drug War, Save Black America

No, I'm not reading all 326 existing comments to see if this is already there. Is there a reason that blacks are the ones who are predominantly targeted for the drug trade? Maybe if we stopped the prohibition against murder and started regulating contract killings, people would stop killing each other, or at least show a significant decline? Doubt it. Making abortion legal was supposed to stop women dying from unsafe "back alley" abortions. Now they die from unsafe "medical center" abortions. Planned Parenthood (started by a white supremacist who wanted to eliminate the "undesirables") said that contraceptives help cut the numbers of abortions, but everywhere they're dispensed sees an increase in abortions. Prohibition of alcohol is...

Black Education

The stated problems may be worse for black students, but I find the lack of respect towards authority (including their elders) to be very common among kids today, starting at an appallingly young age. I'm 46, and if I had mouthed-off or sassed-back at my parents -- or any adult -- I would've been smacked by whichever adult happened to have the best shot. Nowadays, for fear of legal reprisal, I dare not do more than suggest they modify their behavior.

"In fact, I feel the same way every time I watch The Vagina Monologues." EVERY time? I can understand watching once if you don't know better or just to see how bad it really is, but why would you see it multiple times? Oh, wait, maybe I'm missing the satire again. I hate it when that happens.

Liberal Lies About the Death Penalty

"Thou shalt not kill" is still binding. It doesn't say "unless you think they really deserve it." If there's no way to keep the population safe from harm, then the State has a right to impose capital punishment -- as it did in the case of Sadam Hussein. There is practically no instance where this is the rationale in America; we can keep the offenders confined, but we don't always do that and trouble happens in those situations. How does killing a murderer *actually* help the victim's family? They get to vent some anger, but then the State is really just providing the means for them to exact vengeance -- hardly good for anyone's mental health, and much less for their spiritual health. Is there any person who's relished the execution of...
