The solution is fairly simple and can match the minority emphasis of our famous president. When on offence, the team will be the Whities; on defense, the (pick your favorite minority perjoritive) -ies.
As an engineer I find it truly amazing that a degree difference over ten years can generate ice fifteen feet thick or miles of open water.

Majority Rules on Climate Science?

The IPCC charter is to examine human effects on climate change. As we used to say in R&D, when you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Where to geologists (dirt), biologists (flowers), and politicians (fraud) come off pontificating on the products of physics expertise? Everyone's entitled to their opinions but the credible are the physicists and engineers.
By blaming the Republicans, the president admits that the Democrats don't have all the ideas. Why then were the Republicans totally ignored while the ACA was being developed? I submit that it's not about health care. It's about laundering the wealth of the middle class thru an insurance system to the benefit of the helpless class.

The question is whether or not the Iranians, with their god of death, hit us with a single bomb and kill a few million or hit us with an EMP and watch millions starve to death. Remember, the president had defined a small number as 5%, about 15M w/o health insurance. With a million dead, I believe the president wouldn't even bother with a counterstrike.
I haven't heard anyone in Lake Placid complaining about the snow. In CO it'd be cause for a block party...

This whole issue would have remained in the halls of academia, along with the 'universe contains 17 billion planets' headline, had it not been for two little words: carbon tax. A substantial amount of money has been spent on this issue, $28M in my relatively small state where $4M is a nice pound of pork.
