Romney's Rape Exception

First, the Catholic Church has always preached that abortion is allowed in cases of rape, incest or mother's life at risk. Romney is on our boat in this. Abortion as a choice for stupidity not acceptable in today's world of just saying no to sleeping around, or not using birth control (there are many ways on this choice), etc. However, the Demo(ns) always look for ways to misstate or spout inanities and lies. They have cultivated their stupidity for some 40 years so have it down pat! Always remember that abortion is not a simple operation nor always a safe one. Like Abby always said in her newspaper responses: keeping your legs crossed make a lot of difference to you and someone else's life/future.

The catholic church is just as guilty of cognitive dissonance as anyone else who thinks that how the baby got there makes a difference to the baby.

The baby is still innocent.

The Catholic Church has NOT taught that abortion is allowed in cases of rape or incest. The Catholic Church has taught that, in some cases where the mother's life is in danger, the mother's life may be saved in ways which INDIRECTLY result in death of the child (e.g., removal of a cancerous uterus).
You know a politician has stepped in it big-time when he feels compelled to produce an ad declaring that "rape is an evil act."

The spot, in which Todd Akin apologizes for using "the wrong words in the wrong way," is part of his penance for saying, in an interview with a St. Louis TV station on Sunday, that "legitimate rape" rarely results in pregnancy because "the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down."

Akin, a six-term Republican congressman from Missouri who is running for the Senate, has backed away from that...
