revealing your position comes with the territory, kate. once you start firing any weapon that is not silenced, you reveal your position, whether the weapon is a shotgun, a handheld, or a howitzer. fire well. your logic, kate, is thin, and doesn't recommend your opinions.

No, C.B., yours is the faulty logic. Of course I'm willing to accept revealing my position if it means incapacitating at least one threat. Giving it away by expending my only ammunition against a target I can't see is just beyond retarded.

You apparently know absolutely nothing about "the territory" you're speaking of.

Even silenced firearms can give away your position. The point is, don't give away your position until it is too late for the bad guy to do anything about it. In other words, don't make the noise until the reason behind the noise hits the bad guy in the chest.

First of all there is no such thing as a silenced firearm, it's called a suppressor. Secondly, following yours and that mental giant Biden's thinking, after you've unloaded your shotgun and given away your position you'd be out of ammo because those pesky hi-cap magazines are too scary.

Why is it that progressives refuse to address the real problem? Oh yeah, that requires honesty....

CB...do you make it a pratice of shooting thru doors before knowing what / who is on the other side?

Joe Biden has already let you know that a shotgun will fill all your self-defense needs. Now, he's back with another home protection tip: this time, on how to use your twelve gauge when someone is trying to rob you blind and/or harm your family! In an interview with Field & Stream magazine, Biden dropped this little nugget of wisdom on how to deter home invaders. (Disclaimer: don't try this at home.)

F&S: What about the other uses, for self-defense and target practice?

V.P. BIDEN: Well, the way in which we measure it is--I think most scholars...
