Enthusiastic teachers become older teacher with no enthusiasm because teachers are not paid their worth, only paid according to longevity, which is the brainchild of the union. It appears you would rather have an unenthusiastic veteran teacher keep his/her job, continuing the standard of mediocrity. What profession are you engaged in? Do you believe that workers in your profession should get paid and promoted according to skill, dependability, etc. etc. or merely how long they've been on the job? Just because one is a veteran does not guarantee high standards.
As a public school teacher of 18 years, I can tell you that you are spot-on. Party on, Wisconsin! Let's hope it's a trend.
You are the "nutter." This article is not about budgetary woes, it is about the idiotic last-in, first-out UNION policy. And yes, those teachers will be shown the door by being pink-slipped. I'm a high school teacher of 18 years and can't stand the stupid, good 'ol boy, inefficient policies and mentality of the union that cripple education quality in America. Unions first priority is job security, NOT quality of education. If that means keeping an incompetent teacher who has been incompetent from day one for the last 25 years, it is doing its job. Unions specialize in mediocrity. And thanks to the union, I can never be paid for my expertise or effectiveness as a teacher--only how LONG I've been a teacher.

Why Are Ron Paul's Followers So Touchy?

"The reason Ron Paul supporters are so touchy is because the media has not presented his platform fairly." Not a good enough reason. Just about every candidate (with an "R" after his/her name) is misrepresented. And even if true, RP supporters rabid response to EVERYTHING is really wacked out, abnormal.
