global warming, climate change, ice melting, I'd better put that Popsicle back in the fridge! as a scientist I'll let you in on a little experiment that shows you how much the water rises as ice melts. Take a glass of water and put an ice cube or two in it, then mark the water level. Wait for the ice to melt and then measure the water level. ... No difference!!! what is all the worry about? the sun controls climate change and global warming and cooling and we can't change it! CO2 is part of the carbon cycle which changes into foods, etc and helps us live. There are only so many carbon atoms on the earth and we can't make more from other atoms so don't worry! Le Chatellier's principal tells us that as more CO2 is produced more is used

Thank you. Hope those who think "global warming" is a reality are now beginning to understand real science. Your example is beautifully graphic and easy to understand. Actually so cold in CA, ice cream is always on sale because not warm enough to eat it!

The problem with your hypothesis is that your governing assumption is that the Greenland ice cap is already displacing sea water, which it isn't. Now, if you were talking about the polar ice cap, which indeed is displacing seawater, then I would agree with you, but runoff from the Greenland cap is a net addition to the level of the world's oceans.

I'm not a global warming wingnut, but please use your governing assumptions correctly.

New research published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences tends to now show that ice melt estimates previously calculated for Greenland have not significantly accelerated- as has been previously postulated- nor has the melt contributed in a meaningful way to the rise of sea levels.

Recently, much of the destruction on the east coast as a consequence of Super-Mega-Hurricane Sandy Gore was blamed on the rise in sea-levels, which have been blamed on…drum roll…global warming.

The newest revelation, amongst many in the last several years that have muffled the global warming chants of  “settled science, settled...
