Agreed; great post on all counts. Also I might add that perhaps Mr. Hankins needs a little brush up on the workings of the Electoral College. For the most part (other than FL) they are not in the South, but in that stretch of states across the broad middle of the country from Iowa and Missouri to PA. We need a candidate who appeals to independents and conservative Democrats in the stretch of so-called "Battleground States." The South is consrvative and for the most part (other than VA, NC, and FL) is loyal to the GOP; great! My cat could beat Obama in AL, MS, and SC! But that is hardly enough to win the Presidency of this very large country. Romney as GOP won in very Dem/Liberal MA by appealing to other voter groups-just what we need!
