The Republican effort of pitting the black community against the gay community has largely failed, Mr. Babione. Guess you didn't get the memo. The problem is that there are gay black Americans - the same percentage as gay white Americans. And black, white and brown Americans are sick of the right wing attacking and dehumanizing their gay loved ones, family and friends.

Whoever goes around saying it’s about "hate" and “homophobia” purposefully misrepresents the true nature of the issue, and such a person is trapped in their own bias and bigotry.
