As I'm sure you know, the CBO's 10-year cost
projections include 3-4 years of revenue from
new fees, higher taxes, and forced enrollment
in government-approved insurance plans, before
the bulk of expenditures begin. The numbers
look a lot different afterwards.

And those cost-offsetting "changes" (i.e. cuts)
in Medicare that you cite will in fact never
occur; you can bank on our brave congressmen
to fund it fully. But you know that too, right?

You also know that the real costs of a massive
new entitlement are unsustainable. Only a fool
could believe that 30 million people - including
those already ill - can be covered at no cost.
Access to care would have to be restricted, of
course;...

It's insulting to pond scum to compare it to the
likes of Phelps and his contemptible followers.

But I have two questions for Mr. Thomas and others who would like to curtail their right to
free speech:

Who will be on the committee that decides what
types of speech are protected? (Hint: there
won't be many conservatives)

And how long will it take for that committee to
determine that some conservatives, like,say,
Cal Thomas, are engaging in "hate speech" and
must be silenced? (Hint: probably not long)

I think you're right on the money about BHO's
disinterest in foreign policy.

It must have been bitterly disappointing to him
that he took office too late to sabotage victory
in Iraq, and he'll do whatever he can to hurt
America's standing in the world - as long as it
doesn't damage him politically.

But it seems he's mainly preoccupied with his
domestic goals (crushing capitalism and pushing
socialist policies) and can hardly be bothered
by affairs outside our borders.

When you accuse folks of lying, it's polite to
offer examples. Since you provide nothing of
the sort, I'm forced to conclude that you are
nothing but a typical shrieking left-wing
smear merchant.

Until and unless you can back up your insults
with facts, keep them to yourself.
